Vince has been coaching lacrosse at John Jay for the past 6 years. Vince grew up on Long Island and having been a late-comer to the game (starting in the 7th grade on LI), he worked twice as hard to become a varsity starting midfielder by his sophomore year in high school. He once again took the hard route and chose to attend Syracuse University and successfully made the lacrosse team as a walk-on. A 30-year playing career, with multiple championships along the way, was definitely shaped by legendary coaches Roy Simmons Jr. and John Desko. Vince’s coaching philosophy is a solid blend of the fast-free-spirit approach of Coach Simmons and the detailed tactician of Coach Desko. Vince’s love of the game and passion for coaching drives his winning success at developing lifelong lacrosse players and fans. Vince is a senior partner in a strategic marketing agency and lives in Greenwich CT with his wife Laurie.
